Proprietary Wireless Technology
With Maximum Range

Ceres® long range sensors and controls use proprietary wireless technology to achieve maximum range. Conventional technologies such as WiFi and Bluetooth can’t provide the range and battery life of Ceres transceivers.

  • FCC Certified
  • Narrow-band sub-GHz transmission (910-920MHz in North America)
  • Advanced filtering to block cellular interference
  • Secure communications using advanced AES cryptography.

Ceres solar/cellular gateway is the connection between long-range proprietary wireless communications and the Ceres data management system.  The Ceres gateway is small, inexpensive, and fully self-contained.  Deployment is as easy as 1) plug in the battery 2) mount near fields on a pole or structure, 3) unfold solar panel. Each Ceres gateway supports up to 100 Ceres long-range wireless sensors and controls.

How it Works

During internet outages, the gateway can receive and store tens of thousands of reports and forward them when internet access is restored. More importantly, unlike passive gateways used in many other technologies, the Ceres Gateway is intelligent and will keep your irrigation systems operating even during internet and power outages, maintaining soil moisture profiles.

The Ceres Gateway is fully self contained with battery and all antennas internal to the rugged IP65 waterproof enclosure.  The Gateway uses LTE cellular technology to connect the gateway to the Ceres data management systems and upload field status and download soil moisture profiles, firmware updates, and other configuration. Stainless steel mounting hardware is included that supports both pole and structure mounting.
